Nowadays, there are many attachments containing virus and other softwares able to hack into our computer. Firstly, if there was really a h1n1 prevention medicine, won't everybody be rushing out to buy it? Also, if it was really that effective, they won't be doing advertisements via email, but encourage people who tested and prove it to inform their friends and family? This is not only much more effecient, but also safer. Thirdly, the virus is rather under control in Singapore. Although people died, the schools are not closed down, which means that there is no reason to be alarmed, as the situation is in control. Instead of speculating, people who forward this messages, people should think about what they can do to prevent themselves from getting infected. Furthermore, if such a prevention has been invented, it should be all over the news, which is not.
There are many forms of computer virus. Some slowen the computer, some erase all the files and saved documents, some simply hang the whole computer. The different kind of virus have one thing in common- they both damage the computer. Therefore we should not randomly open files. :)

I feel that one should not be so desperate in cyber relationships as this could ruin people's lives. One should learn to tell good from evil, and not judge the other party on what he or she says on the internet as one may regret for his or her entire life. There were many true cases related to us, and we should not be too quick to distinguish the good from the evil. After all, if one is wrong, he or she will definately face severe consequences for their actions. Though the criminal will be punished, the victim will suffer even more pain. Usually females are more prone as they are usually(not always) weaker, and cannot fight back. Also, they are more trusting and impulsive. I believe that as long as we think twice before we act, we will not make the wrong decision, unless one has the wrong mindset that everyone on the internet is truthful. In conclusion, we should never let our guard down as we will never know what will come our way, especially since technology is so advanced.

In the first lesson, we learnt about the dangers of revealing our personal information as the public can read them. For example, if we upload our e-mail address or our mobile phone numbers online, others can spam and send messages, play prank calls or flood our inbox with non-sensical messages. Your identity can also be revealed if you post your home address or your school name online as it is opened to the public, and you can be in danger. The e-mails that you receive may be filled with advertisements that may cause your computer to hang, or may contain viruses and malware that may corrupt your computer. There are also many online frauds who pose as friends and may harm you emotionally or physically when you reveal your personal information. The photos that we post online can also be accessed even when the phota is deleted. Your face from the photo can also be digitally scanned onto another picture that can be post as pornograghical pictures, which is extremely offensive and unacceptable. That is why we managed to learn to be careful with revealing our information and pictures, in case we get into danger.
